Life at the Conceive forefront

Rana Allababidi manages the front desk of Conceive Hospital (SHJ) andhas been doing so for two years now. She takes us through how her job differs from that in any other institution.

Whilst her main job does involve attending to phone calls, giving patient appointments and answering their queries there is more to this job role. Infertility is a tough ordeal for almost everybody who is diagnosed with it and Rana finds herself more often than not having to go beyond being a receptionist. She often finds herself having to be that friendly voice over the phone who is willing to listen to the patients’ sorrows. She becomes their support and confidant. She finds it’s always helps in making a difference to the patients and destresses them as they open up about their difficulties, challenges and heartbreaks.

Rana finds that knowing what it’s like to be a mother and having been blessed enough to have four children is what enables her to demonstrate this kind of empathy and compassion for those who are struggling to build their families. She works hard to develop and maintain the bond of trust between herself and the patient. Being spiritual and religious she tries to uplift patient moods and guide them through some of their toughest moments on their journey to parenthood …

The month of February has been hectic to say the least! With both clinics up and running full-steam as well as several radio and print media coverage, our team was pushed to their limits to keep up with deadlines and abreast of the workload. What gets us through each and everyday? Visits from our babies of course! There is nothing like seeing months (even years) of work melt away by a baby’s smile. It’s what we love to do and it’s what ensures we’re forever connected and committed to doing what we do.

If you’ve missed the various interviews and articles then you can find them uploaded and posted on both our Facebook as well as on Twitter.

Do also check out the blog spaces because in addition to the wonderful articles that are being written by our authors there is plenty more information in the form of advice and tips that are being shared which are bound to strike your fancy.

Sometimes I cannot believe just how quickly time flies. 2015 has passed by in the blink of an eyelid. And what a year it’s been ! We launched our new clinic branch in Jumeirah Lake Towers (Dubai), have celebrated 11 years of Conceive and have crossed our 3000th baby mark !

And it’s all down to the love & support from YOU ! So from each and every member of Conceive, THANK YOU 🙂    We would be nothing without all of you so a heartfelt and sincere thank you for bringing us here today. As we approach the 44th Birth Anniversary of United Arab Emirates, we’d like to express our gratitude to this great country for allowing us to work in peace and harmony and for always blessing us and wishing us well.

What’s new this time around ? Well we’ve just had the honour and pleasure of welcoming on board the new author of B Method blog, Mr Mike Goncalves who has helped us give the blog a new and fresh look and cater specifically and uniquely to the ‘Fitness for Fertility’ mantra. Do also check out Cathy & Eric’s blog, Slow Swimmers and Fried Eggs as they both continue bravely in their narration of their struggles with infertility. Each week they bare their souls in the hope that someone else out here in the Middle East feels less lonely and isolated and depressed.

We also had a visit from the students of Pristine Private School who were incredibly enthusiastic and excited to learn about what we do here in the hospital. This is something we all enjoy greatly and welcome any more schools/colleges/academics who would like to visit us. Do get in touch with us through our website www.conceiveivf.com

This will be our last newsletter for 2015 ; the next will be in January 2016. So till then, enjoy all our content through all our verticals, have a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous & Happy New Year !

It’s February and we have officially opened our Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) branch of the Conceive Gyaecology & Fertility Hospital. It has been an incredible journey for us and the occasion would not be possible without you all and so on behalf of team Conceive, thank you so much ! Details of the new clinic can we found on our website www.conceiveivf.com and location has been pinned on Google maps. The phone to JLT rings at +97145545820.

And that’s not all that’s new this month! Following some suggestions we’ve worked hard to ensure that the Conceive website is now available in Arabic too. Thank you for constantly giving us your feedback because it really and truly does help in bettering us.

Finally this month we’ve changed the format of our newsletter in lieu with suggestions from our readers and followers. The request was to make it more personal and we’ve complied by getting our staff on camera and giving bytes in real reel time 🙂

The Conceive Incubator

What a whirlwind the last 45 days have been. Each and every minute of my time and effort has gone into planning the Conceive JLT launch event. May 5th 2015 dawned and naturally I was a nervous wreck as all aspects of the launch came together and culminated into the 3 hours of the event. And what a 3 hours those were!

The Conceive JLT clinic had a thundering reception and was celebrated with much pomp and splendor. The clinic was inaugurated by His Highness Shaikh Saaed Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum and by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC. We also had the privilege of having Mr Tayyeb Baker, CEO & Founder of ANC Holdings LLC and Dr. Mariam Matar, Founder & Chairperson of UAE Genetic Diseases Association. As early as 10:30am saw family, friends and patients pouring into the clinic and many stayed till well past 2pm. Anna Pavlova’s violin provided beautiful melody and the canapés from Circle K café were quickly devoured by all. The event was abuzz with the warmth and love that were showered upon us from all corners and quarters and has left us truly humbled and overwhelmed.

Thank you everyone! I know it sounds a bit repetitive but the truth is without you, we would not be here today and on behalf of Dr. Pankaj Shrivastav and the entire Conceive team I’d like to tell you that we will strive to provide you with the best care we possibly and can will eternally uphold our guiding mantra – Let’s make you a family !

Cheers to new beginnings ☺
