Creating a Healthy Mindset

Hi and thanks so much for being here with me and the rest of The B Method readers.

I’m happy and grateful you’re here.

I want to take some time today to focus on the power of mindset and the important role it plays with being fit & fertile.

Your thoughts are powerful and depending on how and what you think about on a regular basis, your thoughts, your mindset, is either working for you or against you.

“Except our own thoughts, there is nothing absolutely in our power.”

Regardless of where are in your journey, the power of what and how you think belongs to you, no one else. Whatever it is you choose to focus on or not focus on is strictly your decision.

There are plenty of things that are out of your control; fortunately your thinking isn’t one of them.

Why does mindset matter when it comes to fertility?

There are many great resources to take advantage of when it comes to withstanding the rigors of a pregnancy, many of which I will discuss and provide you with in the weeks and months to follow.

However, these resources are of little value if the mindset necessary to follow through on any one of them is non-existent.

That is why we are discussing mindset from the very start, why it’s important and how to create a healthy mindset when it comes to being fit & fertile.

“Your thoughts are energy. They have the power to shape your reality. Use them wisely.”

Mindfulness is necessary to create a healthy mindset.

In order to create a healthy mindset, you must first be mindful of how and what you think about.

Start paying closer attention to how and what you’re thinking of at any given moment during the day.

What are your thoughts?

Are they positive thoughts that are helping to decrease stress and provide you comfort or are they negative thoughts that increase your stress and make you feel uncomfortable?

Make it a point to be mindful of your thoughts, keeping the positive ones and eliminating the negative ones as you go.

You might be thinking, “Easier said than done.

There’s no question that creating a healthy mindset is no easy feat, especially at the beginning. It takes time and lots of practice, but I assure you it’ll be worth your time and effort.

The benefits of creating a healthy mindset aren’t just mental ones either, but physically as well.

When it comes to fertility, the potential for stress and anxiety is limitless.

Even if stress and anxiety is expected, there is no need to add more fuel to the fire by how and what we think of.

Even if you’re unable to fully eliminate all of the associated stress and anxiety along your journey, it doesn’t mean you can’t do your best to keep them both at bay, which starts by creating a healthy mindset.

Here’s three ways to create a healthy mindset.

1) Connect With Positive Like-Minded People

It’s been said you are the average of the 5 people you spend time with the most. Take a look at who you spend most of your time with and make it a point to spend more time with those who focus on the good and bring your mood up versus those who focus on the bad and bring your mood down.

2) Start a Gratitude Journal

Create a gratitude journal where every day you write one thing in it that you’re grateful for that day. It could be anything… family, friends, food, roof over your head, sunsets, the rain, anything. What matters is that you express gratitude.

Expressing gratitude is one of the quickest ways to create a healthy mindset.

3) Be Selective With What You Watch & Read

Stay away from media coverage that constantly reports on negative issues and events going on. Instead, watch shows that have you smiling, laughing, and feeling good. Same goes for the articles and books you choose to read.

Begin with just one of these steps and slowly incorporate the other two as you go.

Creating a healthy mindset is one of the first major steps in our efforts to being fit and fertile.

“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”

Together we can, together we will.

You’re awesome!
